Oh God... no just further proof that I am an idiot. My mom was Scottish and my Dad is Iranian. I can't spell worth a darn and usually run spell check but didn't. Not fitting in refers to the nuttiness that is Northern VA. My social skills have improved since I got here but I used to have social anxiety (to the point that I couldn't even go shopping at the mall because someone might ask me a question). I actually met my husband on the precursor of the Internet... if fact that was how I met all my friends back then.
I had two daughters. Lesley who is 4 and has mild Cerebral Palsy and Cassie who passed away in April 2005 at 19 months old. 2 kids 18 months apart seems like a GREAT idea when the first child is 9 months old, not walking and just absolutely adorable. By the time the second is born the first one is mobile (well most are) and into EVERYTHING. Then it isn't nearly as easy as you hoped it would be. And it was even crazier with 2 special needs kids. But I wouldn't have changed it for the world.

hey are you from one of the British commonwealth countries that
spells defense like that? You said something about not fitting in
here--I wasn't sure if you meant Virginia specifically or the US in
general or what. How old are your kids?
