MAN... nothing is going right today. I am running on about 3 hours less sleep than normal due to the horrible storms that battered Burke this morning. Between me not sleeping and my cat thinking my head would be a saft place to ride out the storm I am exhaused. Plus I am up to my eyeballs in really heavy duty SQL (database) queries.
I am all about forming online communities and using them as therapy. When Cassie was dying in the hospital (we didn't know she was dying at the time) we posted to Craigslist for blood donations and prayers (good thoughts really). The number of people who donated in her name was astounding.. people who didn't even know us. Then when she died Todd (my husband) posted to
Fark.com about it and a complete stranger set up a page with how to donate to our local public library in her name. We had over 500 donations from around the world not to mention the people who donated locally in her name. These are people who never met us but supported us through all of that. It was truly amazing.
I do not know what happend to Hermespal... I haven't been on that long I guess. I hope she is ok now.
Take Care,
Daria (did i get it right this time???)

oh I'm so sorry. You weren't kidding about been to hell and back.
That's awful. But thanks for sharing. Many people use this board
as "therapy" of a sort--get your mind off of all the awful things
going on in their lives. Hermespal can fill you in on that, I'm
sure, if you weren't on the board when she first told us. You signed
your last message "Faria". I assumed you meant "Daria"?
