*ONE* diaper for the entire flight? No experience to base it on, but it
seems it woud take more than that. And as for the restriction on
prescription medicine, flights get delayed, and as for not allowing the pill
bottles, I'm sure there are those who need the bottle for refills or for
security on connecting flights, internatiional or otherwise. But everyone,
staff and passengers, was new at this, so they did well. Listen, today at
the community pool I go to for water exercise, there was a sign saying that
"due to the heighten [sic] security situation," all swimmers had to sign in
and present ID. So we're all still learning.

I'm back. And yes, I travelled from Heathrow to Dulles yesterday in what
turned into a 21 hour trip. Yipee! It's something else at Heathrow. One
woman with a baby in arms was told she could only take two diapers and one
bottle of baby formula with her on her international flight. They told us
we could take one book, changed their minds, and made everyone throw away
their books at security. We were allowed to take a wallet, keys, one pairs
of eyeglasses sans case, our passport, the precise number of prescription
pills we might need but not the bottles, tampons if needed and that was
absolutely it. Good times. The poor staff! Well, the whole airport bonded
and I can now say I've survived an international incident. Went to the
Edinburgh Fringe fest
