Of Irish descent for both of us. I'm second-generation...his family, well, came over when the folks they were indentured to did, so's they could do the cooking and cleaning, etc. His family is long-time North Carolinians.
Yes, I live in the Old North State; before that I taught high school in Nebraska, and before that, in Fairfax VA (where I was introduced to the WaPo, and Gene (besides, Gene's syndicated in our local paper)). Yeah, I'm actually kinda wondering if actually putting on a dress for the wedding will scare folks. You know...that whole "Wow...she's a GIRL!! Who knew????" reaction.
