That's male multi-tasking. A real violation of potty etiquette would be if he walks into the men's room and takes a urinal next to another guy.
FWIW: Some guys seem to think they can do their "doody" without getting anything dirty. A few weeks ago, I was in the men's room brushing my teeth....had been in there for....long enough to know what was going on behind the stall door....a guy I knew flushed, walked out and never even washed his hands!
