Is it made of rare jewels? Then she's nuts--anyone with the money to buy expensive jewelry should not be working in a drudge job like ours.
Does it clash with the rest of her outfit? Then maybe she's colorblind. Providing her with information on this all-too-common problem would be a kindness.
Is the ribbon poorly made? Then either it's the product of a daughter's art class project or, more horribly, her own. I'm betting on the art class project, simply because who the hell else deals in rainbow ribbons.
