If I had to guess, if it was striped, I'd guess it was showing support for gay rights/gay marriage, or I've seen a rainbow-colored ribbon sticker or magnet on cars made up of different colored puzzle pieces that mentions autism.

But I wouldn't assume anything about them unless it was more concrete, like if the ribbon had the puzzle-pieced shapes, or if the pin was a rainbow flag instead of a ribbon.
