is Bethesda or Friendship Heights the closest station? Whichever, can't people arrange to be picked up there, depending on how many carless people there are? The drivers can stop at the metro station on their way to the bowling alley. Or arrange carpools through the group? I'm guessing most people don't live more than 45 min away from each other or Strike Bethesda. Sorry, I spend a lot of time coordinating logistics. I personally think lack of a car should not prevent people from going, speaking as someone without a car dealing with similar issues in Boston.
