or weird coincidence? I'm taking a course on tape about the city and
urban life as portrayed in the arts and literature, and the instructor
is using the book Moll Flanders by Daniel Defoe as a good example of
literature about urban life. So I looked it up on Amazon and I
discovered that there is an edition of the book with an afterward by
Gina! Yes, our Gina!

The weirdest part was that it said that the authors were Daniel Defoe
and Regina Barreca (afterward). At first glance it looks like Mr.
Defoe collaborated with Gina and asked her to write the afterward,
which caused me to do a doubletake. It's only $6--I might have to get
it just to see what Gina has to say. I thought it was pretty funny.
Turns out she wrote the afterward for several female-oriented literary
classics including Portrait of a Lady. The other odd thing was I did
a search on "Regina Barreca" and it listed lots of her books but not
I'm with Stupid, but when I looked up "I'm with Stupid" she is listed
as "Gina Barreca". So all the books where she put her name like that
won't come up in a "Regina Barreca" search. She probably did it like
that for I'm with Stupid because of the "Gene and Gina" thing.
Anyway, I just thought the whole thing was interesting, you may not.
