I know the tracks for the DC Metro are deep enough.  My friend's 
father passed out on the Shady Grove platform and fell in the tracks 
and was "run over" by the train when we were in college.  He came a 
way with a few bumps and bruises, but was otherwise fine.  It was 
pretty amazing.
