I read this without realizing it was by Gene until I finished it!  I
didn't know Gene was a Joshua Bell fan.  That's awesome!   I've seen
Mr. Bell in concert, he's fantastic.  I mean if you are into violin
music you are probably a fan of Joshua Bell, but I have never heard
Gene mention classical music as one of his hobbies or passions or
whatever. He seems quite knowledgeable in this article, unless he was
just repeating what Mr. Bell told him.  Also Rachel Manteuffel, she of
the large breasts, contributed to the article. Very cool. It's not
written humorously at all.  I realize his feature stories often
aren't, but usually there is some humor in there somewhere.  This is
all about appreciating the world around you and what happens when you
are presented with something valuable out of context.  This is a great
article.
