You know, I just re-read mine, and I realized that a sentence that made it
NOT really mean never got composed.

Please read it now as:

See, I always figured her cat was one of those enormous Hallowe'en
long-hairs, named Pumpkin, natch, who'd be missing a chunk of an ear, with a
nasty disposition and a chronic eye infection.

And she'd love that deformed little beastie, and proudly insist to all that
"Pumpkin's not fat, he just has extra skin!*"

Don't know why, but that just seemed like Ellen's cat.

*an actual quote from a delusional cat-owner friend of mine.
