that's what I think also--I think the article was off base.  It makes
it sound like if the movie was comfortable with abortion Allison
simply would have had an abortion, end of story.  But the reality is
sometimes unplanned pregnancies aren't necessarily unwanted
pregnancies.  Even among pro choice people I don't think the consensus
was that she should have gotten an abortion.  She was 28,
professional, successful, good with kids, and if Ben got a job even if
they didn't end up together she would have been a single mom with
child support.  Certainly not the first person in that situation.  Not
really different from being a divorced mom.  Especially if Ben stayed
in the picture as the kid's dad even if he wasn't mommy's husband.
