See, I saw the conversation that both Ben and his friends had and the one that Allison had with her mom to be really blunt and straightforward about abortion. I haven't seen Waitress. Plus, while a lot of people (including myself) consider themselves pro-choice, I knew abortion was never a choice I would have made. I sort of saw that in Allison's decision. She did think about that option, but never more than in panic. Ultimately, it was not the issue the movie was dealing with, so it didn't take up that much time. Plus, I don't think the choice, in this movie anyway, had much to do with the sensibilities of the audience, as the people who are sensitive about the issue of abortion are probably not going to see Knocked Up anyway.
