You may be aware of the fact that I also publish another

The Nike "swoosh" logo was designed by a University of
Oregon student in 1964 -4 yeas after business undergrad
Phil Knight and track coach Bill Bowerman founded the
company they originally called Blue Ribbon Sports. The
student got $35 dollars for her design...
Did You Know that Winston Churchill's mother, the former
New York socialite Jennie Jerome, invented the Manhattan
cocktail -a mix of whiskey and sweet vermouth.
A 38-year old bakery worker in Hudsonville, Michigan
climbed into an industrial dishwasher to clean it out. The
machine, 8 feet long and 5 feet wide, managed to close
on him and start up. He banged on the door but couldn't
attract attention, and ended up spending two hours in the
180-degree wash cycle until co-workers released him.
He was kept a few hours in hospital for observation.
There are more than 200 satellites orbiting earth solely
for the purpose of private communications services,
including pagers, telephones, and computers.
A Taiwanese company that sells German-made electric
space heaters has come under considerable criticism for
an ad campaign featuring Adolf Hitler. The 6-foot-tall posters
show a smiling caricature of the Nazi leader in a khaki
uniform and black jackboots, his right arm raised high in a
salute. Above him is a white space heater and the slogan
"Declare war on the cold front!" The Hitler figure wears a
red band around his left arm with a white circle bearing
the name of the heater's manufacturer. "We decided to use
Hitler because as soon as you see him, you think of Germany,"
Yu-shan Shen, of the K.E. and Kingstone trading firm, said.
The ads have been abandoned due to negative feed back.
German customs agents at Frankfurt Airport made a huge
capture of illegal passengers: 1,300 Mexican spiders hidden
in the luggage of a French woman. The woman was arrested
on suspicion of smuggling a protected species. The value of
the hairy Mexican bird spiders was $14,000. Agents became
suspicious because the woman had an unusually large
amount of luggage for the short trip she had been on. The
manner in which the luggage was packed alsoindicated
professional smuggling, a customs statement said.
