If all of this is done one day , and we have the possibility to register several SIP providers , Wengophone will be THE softphone I guess .....

No Skype is not dead technologically speaking, far from it. Why? because
it's P2P based and this is what everybody wants to achieve and they have
already done it. The future is P2P.

We use phApi, sipX works, just a question of hours/days to make it work
with iaxclient. So to add jingle/openh323-opal/toto/... is not a
problem. The real thing to do will be to integrate libgaim.
