Hello Jerome,

   I've tried Ekiga (www.ekiga.org) and I was able to have the webcam work
   correctly "on the loopback", that is, locally. Even if the device driver is
   experimental, I don't think it causes this issue (I also spoke with the
   developer).

   Fortunately enough, I do have a Windows system right now to test the
   webcam, if I need to do so.
