Hi , sorry as I have quit the list for few months so I just wanted an update on Ticket #747 about H263 problem :
- I tested Ekiga and Xmeeting with OW2.1 and it still not able to send a decodable H263 (no debug info to give right now) , ekiga & Xmeeting on H263 works fine. - I was not sure if the OW H263 was a FFmpeg related problem or a wengo patch specific one ? Ekiga use a patched version<http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Additional_Information#H.263_using_FFMPEG_.280.4.7.29_-_patched>so does it mean the implementation in FFMPEG is not rfc compliant ? Sorry if this has been discussed why I was away but as the last update on the ticket was 8 months ago I guess no real solution has been found. When 2.1 came out and I saw that one of the main point was interoperability, I thought that those video codec compatibility issue was solved. What kind of tests where ran then ? This IS important because most Linux users look for a simple solution to make their windows friends SIPers , wengo could be one of those, but with those compatibility issues it's not right now.
