After giving it some more thought, I'm going to just lay this to rest. The
only slider where you could conceivably need to adjust it while turned off is
'music' slider (and even then, you are merely turning on a setting that you
previously approved of and you still have a good second or two to make your
adjustments before it kicks in). I'm not willing to sacrifice the UI
consistency and clarity for that lone use case scenario.
