Acceleration is now a slider and the acceleration engine is made in such a
way that skipping should be trivial to implement...

however, having separate sliders would complicate the code greatly because it
would mean that some animations are different from others, which I am trying
to avoid.

Currently your request doesn't fit in the "grand scheme" of things,  so I
mark it as won't do.
