Follow-up Comment #1, bug #9440 (project wesnoth):
Another similar observation, may be related (Windows 95, 1.3.6a):
Start Wesnoth in Fullscreen mode (1024x768, desktop is 800x600), switch to
another program (Alt-Tab or similar), switch back to Wesnoth.
Now you only view part of Wesnoth in the upper left 800x600 pixels of the
screen, he rest has the desktop color, even with a (clickable) Windows task
bar, but no other windows.
(I add a screenshot.)
Switching to windowed mode and back helps, as does changing the Wesnoth
fullscreen resolution - but only until the next time I switch to another
window.
