Right. I don't really mind _this_ issue either way.

However, considering this train of thought, would you then, _please,_ instead
re-open bug #7319, since it is strictly different, and is about being able to
use *allied* villages like your own, if your own leader is dead.

IIUC, this (the village capture behaviour for units on sides with no leader)
*should* be possible to fix separately, regardless of any other village
ownership considerations.

(Besides, that was my original issue, which I still consider quite valid,
this report was only an extension of that one.)
