Follow-up Comment #3:

This is good imput for it's time, however, SotBE has changed quite a bit
since then.

Firstly, it is no longer manditory to keein Inarix alive. If you do keep him
alive you get to recruit saurian skirmishers and augurs (more on this later),
but if you fail, then the campaign moves on without him.

Seccondly, allowing the recruitment of augurs greatly increaces the value of
having Inarix as your ally, since prior to this Orcs have no healing unit -
or magical attack. Hence even though it isn't manditory, there is a greater
empisis to keep Inarix alive.

Thridly, about the gold in Clash of Armies, even though you contine to start
with only 100 gold, you start with far more villages which bears more
resembelence to a seige then would starting with more gold and having less
income. Also since you also have the same amount of villages in the previous
scenario - saving Inarix - you even may have some leftover. In essence, the
balance of this scenario has changed fundementally and thus the concerns
expressed below have already been addressed.
