Follow-up Comment #4:

I was probably tired to be so pessimistic :-/
But now I did some quick dumb test with the code and it looks better (easier
and nicer) than I initially feared.

Still a lot of details to check : I have the base of the map (hills, forest
and lakes), i think that roads will automatically find the same symmetrical
shortest path, but not sure what to do about these rivers searching an exit.

So, I don't confirm anything for the moment but I will continue to play with
this ;-)
