It is possible to discard events from the SDL event queue, but flushing a
specific keypress would require slightly more effort. If anyone wants to
submit a patch to allow specific keypresses to be discarded from the event
queue, just look at the events::discard code in events.cpp/hpp.

The reason you would get multiple dialogues popping up is probably because
you are trying to save in the middle of an attack, am I right? The game won't
process your request until the attack finishes.

It may be a minor usability improvement for a small percentage of users,
however I don't consider it a bug (more of a feature request). I think ESR
was a bit harsh in his response, but I agree it's not a high priority for us.
Still, it is a valid request, so I don't see the need to close it.
