Update of bug #11024 (project wesnoth):

                  Status:                    None => Invalid

    _______________________________________________________

Follow-up Comment #1:

I'm going to mark this Invalid, for two reasons. One: you shouldn't be
loading 1.2 maps into a trunk SVN version to begin with -- that is a pilot
error. It's not like loading them into the editor, which is a halfway
reasonable thing to try if you want to convert them (but the right way to do
that is with wmllint).

Two: When you report a bug like this, you need to *tell us how to reproduce
it*. Right now we have no reason to believe loading a 1.2 map with a trunk
build was anything but a silly stunt. If, on the other hand, you had told us
exactly how you did it, we could form a judgment about how likely a user would
be to trigger these circumstances with a production 1.4 release, and thus how
careful we need to be in recovering from this case.

The screenshot isn't enough. We don't need it proved to us that loading an
old map will confuse trunk, that's quite believable. What we need to
understand is *whether we should care*. Thus, it's far more important that
we know how you triggered the bug.

Please attach a comment explaining exactly the steps you took to trigger this
bug, starting from a clean install of trunk and an empty user directory. If
you can do that, one of us will reinstate it.
