Okay, I found the WML part that causes this. It's an object that's supposed
to make one of the player leaders immobile.

If I comment out these lines (from scen 2), the crash doesn't happen:

       # make leader in labs immobile
       # [object]
       #   [filter]
       #     x,y=1,7
       #   [/filter]
       #   silent=yes
       #   duration=level
       #   [effect]
       #       apply_to=movement_costs
       #       replace=true
       #       [movement_costs]
       #           castle=99
       #       [/movement_costs]
       #   [/effect]
       # [/object]

I'm reducing the severity to normal (since it is a rather specific problem).
