Follow-up Comment #1, bug #11559 (project wesnoth): I did animate more the unit by adding leadership (for terror), standing and recruitmement animations.
You can see the result here : http://extended-era.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/extended-era/trunk/ (ability in abilities/terror.cfg, unit in units/sidhe/Spirit_*) I still experiment strange things : * with 1.4.1 : - When terror is triggered and the unit doesn't not defend the "leadership" animation is triggered correctly - When the unit attack or defend and terror is triggered the "leadership" anim does seem to replace the defend anim (which is IMHO not necessarily a bad thing) - When the unit attack or defend and terror is not triggered (ie the opponnent has a greater level) the "leadership" is not triggered but the combat takes ages... - Not directly linked but i have no idea why : levelup takes ages for this unit * with 1.4.2 i have the following difference : - the "leadership" animation never triggers when the unit is attacking or defending, but the combat always takes ages.
