Follow-up Comment #7, bug #11707 (project wesnoth):
Reproducing this:
1. Start wesnoth
2. Click "Campaigns"
3. Press "Enter" to select the first campaign in the list (A tale of two
brothers in my case) and default (easy) difficulty.
4a. Press "Enter" to go through all the intro dialog (no need to be
excessively hasty here)
4b. ... and the objectives dialog
5. Press Alt+R to get told that there are no units to recall
6. Press Cmd+R to get the list of units to recruit
7. Press Up (nothing visible happends, since we start at the top of the
list)
8. Press Down <--- this doesn't work / nothing happends
This seems to be a reliable way to reproduce the behaviour.
Clicking through some of the steps doesn't seem to necessarily produce the
same effect.
I'll try to simplify this :)
Further observations:
* After (7) the mouse pointer still moves, after (8) it doesn't, so
apparently the hang really doesn't happend until (8).
* OS X' crash dialog really doesn't seem to come up until after switching out
of wesnoth, as noted by the OP.
* Using the mouse for all of 3 through 4a doesn't cause the problem to appear
at (8); Using the mouse for EITHER 3 OR 4a *does* cause the bug at (8)...
odd!
Hopefully thats enough to reproduce it reliably for you too; otherwise, the
source just finished DLing, I'll set it to compile and look at it again
tonight.
