Follow-up Comment #1:
A few clarifications:
- With "hit sounds" I mean the "unit-got-hit" sounds (embedded into the
[defend] anims), *not* the "weapon-hit-its-target" sound (in the
[attack_anim]s)
- The best way to reproduce the bug is playing the test scenario, using debug
mode to switch the Elvish Shyde to side 2 (near the GUI2 dialog test hexes),
and attacking her with the Druid's ranged attack; if defense animations work
properly, she will display a spheric aura during her defense, but on 1.5.9
and trunk at the moment, she'll not display anything, nor play her got-hit
sound.
