Follow-up Comment #2, bug #12913 (project wesnoth):
Did you install wesnoth with admin rights?
I downloaded the standard Windows compiled version and installed the game
from there. There were no mention of admin rights during the installation
process. Although the installation does offer a choice of whether to install
it inside my documents and settings or not. I installed it to
c:\dlg\Wesnoth-1.5.9-compiled.
Does the bug persist if you have admin rights?
The bug persists, both for 1.5.8 and 1.5.9
Are you using Windows XP Professional or Home?
Professional. And my user account has admin rights too.
Outside of Wesnoth, but in my Windows account, I can edit and save parse.py
without any problem at all.
