Follow-up Comment #3:
share_maps and share_view are not documented in the wiki as possible
attributes for the [modify_side] node. Therefore, adding them at this point
would be a new feature and that should be postponed for 1.6. The original bug
of this report is fixed already.
Feel free to submit a Feature Request for shaŕe_maps/share_view in
[modify_side].
