I found myself in this situation:
I had defeated the orcs in the west and was fighting the orcs in the east. I
knew it would take me six turns to get Konrad from there to the gate in the
north so I had plenty of time. I finally sent Konrad towards the gate at turn
20/26, hence on time.
It took me by surprise that my objectives were merely updated and I was not
given any extra time to walk east.
Because autosaves are deleted automatically, I could not even go back far
enough (to e.g. 10/26) to make it on time. Thus I had to start over
completely (frustrating to say the least).
