Follow-up Comment #1, bug #13311 (project wesnoth):
The issue is not with the translation, but with the day of the week strings,
and these are retrieved from the underlying operating system. In this
particular installation, the string for "Monday" (in this case) is for some
reason passed (or read) in the wrong encoding.
