It's not really possible to hermetically seal the tutorial against willful
abuse like this, and I don't see any appetite for trying to among the
developers. The consensus in a recent IRXC discussion was that it needs
rewriting, so lesser efforts to fix minor bugs aren't worth it. Thus, marking
this Wont Fix.
