Follow-up Comment #2, bug #17277 (project wesnoth):
You misunderstood me.
It's not about undoing if you find a wose, it's about undoing while you
don't find a wose.
Imagine, you've a great mage and you know there's a wose somewhere near you.
But they are more than one forest and you don't know where the wose is. So you
turn shroud updates off, check first tree: Nothing. undo. You check second
tree: Nothing. Undo. You check third tree: There's the wose. You burn it.
Now if you don't use this, you've only 1/3 chances to find the wose (Unless
trees are near each other, but that's details.)
So you "scanned" the zone (It works exactly the same for shadows, maybe
even more representative, because as shadows are pretty fast, and hide
everywhere during the night, it's hard to find them.)
