Follow-up Comment #2, bug #18025 (project wesnoth):
The Wesnoth background does appear but before anything else happens the
application closes.
I could not check my java version in the method recommended by the site as
apparently the terminal does not recognize the -version option and trying it
without the dash gets me a different error. Instead I opened up the java
preferences and was given this chart. I am not entirely sure how to interpret
it but perhaps you can.
J2SE 5.0 : 32-bit : version 1.5.0_28-b04
Java SE 6 : 64-bit : 1.6.0_24-b07-334
J2SE 5.0 : 64-bit : 1.5.0_28-b04
J2SE 1.4.2 : 32-bit : 1.4.2_22
I do not know where to find the other release but if I can run 64 bit java
versions a 64 bit application should not be a problem correct?
