Details:
In brief summary, Wesnoth (any version you want) crashes on dual-graphics
MacBook Pros when all of the following are true:
1. Automatic graphics switching is active.
2. The Mac is initially using the integrated graphics card.
3. Wesnoth is launched in fullscreen mode, or switched to fullscreen mode
after launch.
When Wesnoth runs in windowed mode, it will run using the integrated graphics
card. If the Mac is not using the discrete card before Wesnoth is put in
fullscreen, it will attempt to do so. The immediate result is that the
Wesnoth window completely disappears (or does not appear at all), and the
Wesnoth application hangs indefinitely and must be force quit. In order to
circumvent this bug for normal use of the game, the Mac must be pre-set to the
discrete card.

More details:
This bug has been observed for over a period of a year on more than one
MacBook Pro, both with completely different graphics and chipset
configurations. This bug has been tested to occur on both Leopard and Snow
Leopard. (No Tiger system was available for the testing)
There are other graphical glitches that occasionally occur, causing Wesnoth
to black out and lock up. They seem to occur most predictably when Wesnoth is
running UMC content on a MP server. I do not know whether this is related to
the main bug at all.
A few days ago, this bug mysteriously vanished when I installed the newest
versions of both the stable and dev versions of Wesnoth. The change did not
last, and I cannot explain why Wesnoth behaved correctly that one time. I was
initially using the integrated card, and wesnoth repeatedly weather the
graphics switch perfectly. Again it did not last, and I can't explain how it
happened. I have not found anything that seems helpful in the Console.
