Follow-up Comment #1, bug #18239 (project wesnoth):
This may be related to bug #18319, since SDL previously relied on a
deprecated function.
Can you test to see if following the procedure there works around this
problem?
(Note: I have experienced crashes showing the objective dialog with that fix
under Snow Leopard, which is why I haven't pushed it into a release yet, but
if you can get to full screen on the title screen it would be good evidence
that the problems are related.)
