Details:

At InterfaceActionsWML, the wiki says about [animate_unit]:

[secondary_attack]: Similar to [primary_attack]. May be needed to trigger a
defense animation correctly, if there are more than one animations available
for the defending unit.

I noticed that, at least for Elvish Archers and Elvish Fighters, the defense
animation isn't triggered by [secondary_attack], but by [primary_attack].
Also, if the attack filter is wrong, or not supported by the unit, the
floating label (text= key) isn't floated.
I prepared a testcase to show this: simply put the attached file into the
add-ons folder, then start the campaign and use the right-click menu to try
animating the units.
