Follow-up Comment #5, patch #2664 (project wesnoth):
So, I fixed the regression and I am less worried about performance. First
because the most common case is now done after the cut, and secondly because,
if needed, the same idea could be used for other Image Path Functions. Only
the very rare cases where we color *before* cropping would be unoptimizable
but that's ok.
