Follow-up Comment #1, bug #19083 (project wesnoth):
-1.8 is outdated by now since we're in feature freeze for the next stable. So
you should really reproduce with 1.9 if you can since nothing will be fixed in
the 1.8 source any more.
"Maybe if I attempted to start Wesnoth twice, and "multiplay" with myself
through the official server?": That's the standard method and I guess it
should work for your case as well.
