Follow-up Comment #1, bug #19247 (project wesnoth):
I don't use GNOME 3, but I've never had any issues with KDE's window manager.
Assuming this can't be reproduced with other window managers (including
Windows' very own), the most likely cause is that GNOME isn't handling SDL
applications or resolution changes in general correctly.
