Details:

Animation frames (at least in attack, maybe others) for which no sprite image
is explicitly defined show "image_icon" on the diagonal facings and "image" on
N/S facings.  Often, this has no effect, but it is a reduction in
functionality when the image_icon is defined as something other than the
image.  It should be changed to use the unit's "image" on all facings.

To see what I mean, use the attached goblin spearman CFG, and have goblin
spearmen throw spears at each other.  On diagonal facing fights, I see the
portrait pop up as the sprite image, but on N vs S facing fights, it works as
it should.
