Follow-up Comment #2, bug #22480 (project wesnoth):

This should only occur when debug is enabled. E.g. :debug -> :n. The relevant
code is in playcampaign.cpp::play_game. The condition to show mp connect is
true when allow_new_game=true for the next scenario or debug is enabled and
network::nconnections == 0 (L393). It's easy enough to remove this, but I
don't know the reason why it was put there. We could just disable it for sp.
