Follow-up Comment #4, bug #22601 (project wesnoth):
Ok i found the reason:
at the beginning of the game the Krash is defeated (has no units) so the game
marks this side as "don't make it persistent in the campaign". But this
information is lost when the game is relaoded, that's why my try didn't
reproduce it.
So as a temporary workaround you could load the last autosave from Stolen Gold
and antinue from there, note, that only autosaves from after when Krash
appears work.
