Follow-up Comment #1, bug #23061 (project wesnoth):
Implementing that sounds rather complicated, what you could do is to move the
{WML_BLOCK} in a seperate event and then use fire_event to fire that even from
the nested event.
The other thing you could to is to store the event wml in a variable, replace
side=$side_number manually and then use [insert_tag].
