Follow-up Comment #2, bug #23194 (project wesnoth):
I've done something somewhat similar to this with the add-on Music, but the
problem is that WML has no actual concept of a "playlist". There's just a
bunch of [music] tags strung together with no access to any information about
it once it's been set, even to what the current song playing is.
Though I would love to be wrong about this, if it's changed recently or lua
has access to more information than WML here.
