Follow-up Comment #3, bug #21945 (project wesnoth):
I can confirm that this bug still exists in 1.12.1.
AI sides (whether they are enemies of allies) are renamed to the name of the
host, but only from the host's point of view. Non-host players will see the
correct AI names. For me, this happens even when starting a new game. (Tested
with Legend of Wesmere multiplayer campaign.)
