As for me its buggy as well (wesnoth 1.12.2)
(try to download any settlers game with some 20 turns)
if i watch replay with skip animation and there are a lot of units on map,
then it will never let me untick the "skip animation thing" because it's too
busy thinking. (I imagine on slower computers its a total nightmare if on 6
core it's impossible to stop).thanks
